Car People Marketing's December edition of Dealer of the Month presents, Naples Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram located in Naples, Florida. I was able to catch up with Jon Atashian, the Fixed Ops Director at Naples Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, for a few questions.
Jared: "How did you start your career in the automotive industry, and how long have you been with Naples Dodge?"
Jon: "Started out in the automobile industry at a family-owned independent service station located in Hartford, CT over 37 years ago. I have since been with Naples DCJR and Naples Mazda and the Myers family for over 26 years."
Jared: "What is one thing that most people do not know about your dealership?"
Jon: "Our store has been owned by the same family for over 35 years."
Jared: "Why do you think your customers choose you over the competition?"
Jon: "Once a customer visits our store they find our staff to be friendly, professional and helpful."
Jared: "What are some of the things you do to create loyal customers that keep returning to your store?"
Jon: "Of course our Silver Rewards Cards from Car People Marketing contribute to our loyalty numbers. Our Business Development Center is dedicated to staying in touch with all of our customers. Not so much to press them for a sale, but to let them know that we are here for them, whatever their needs may be."
Jared: "What have you done in the past year to grow your business?"
Jon: "We continue to monitor our business climate. We need to stay ahead of our customer's expectations as our business continues to evolve. This will continue so we will need to be alert and ready to move with it."
Jared: "If you could give anyone one piece of advice for someone that is a new Service Manager, what would it be?"
Jon: "Be alert! Nothing happens by itself out on the service drive. Get out from behind your desk and participate. The little details always matter. Throw out the word 'Manager' and learn to be a 'Leader' instead. This is where sustainable success lives."
