-05.05.07 – General Motors Adds Car People Marketing to Preferred Vendor List

Daytona Beach, Florida – General Motors recently signed a Service Agreement with Car People Marketing, Inc. adding the company to their Preferred Vendor List for Direct Mail.

“This is a huge milestone for our company and we are extremely excited about the opportunity to team up with General Motors. It says a lot about our company, our people and our products – to be on the list – and it makes it much easier for dealers to do business with us,” says Randy Johnson, Car People Marketing’s president and CEO of his 6 year old company.

GM dealers are encouraged to use direct mail vendors that are on the Preferred Vendor list with 100% co-op on approved advertising, direct billing on the dealer’s open parts account and automatic co-op claim processing. Dealers that use non-approved vendors can only collect 75% co-op, must process checks for payment and manually file for co-op reimbursements.

The service agreement was signed on March 19th, 2007 and on April 27, 2007 Car People Marketing’s management team met with GM’s advertising team in Grand Blanc, Michigan to discuss marketing strategies, creative design and operational processes going forward. GM Dealers will have to change their direct mail service reminders over to a new “approved look” within the next few months to receive the 100% co-op, but will be allowed to retain Car People Marketing’s unique and effective ‘Scratch, Win & Save’ offer. Roll-out for the “new look” and direct billing is scheduled for June 2007.

Car People Marketing, Inc. is located at 1020 W. International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach, Florida. The company employs 35 associates at its corporate office in Daytona and 45 outside sales reps nationwide. Car People Marketing, Inc. began doing business in January 2001.
